Hello Watsontown Family,
We are living in a time when routines are changing rapidly. Teachers are learning to teach in a very new way. Families are adapting to being at home together much more than normal. Our Governor has extended the “Stay at Home” order across our state. We are asked to restrict our goings and coming to only the most essential reasons. Worshiping together and doing so on-line is very essential. We will be continuing our Sunday On-line Worshiping together. God has assembled a wonder team within our Family of Families who are committed to making sure we all have the opportunity to celebrate God together.
To rightly live into the “Stay at Home” mandate we will not be distributing palms. This is not a choice that I have taken lightly. The reality for me is that I would hate for an action that we took to harm anyone. Paul, in his letter to the Romans, wrote, “Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. (Romans 14:13)”
I want to encourage you to find or make or use your own Palms for this Sunday. Wave them during the service. Hang them on the door to your home. Celebrate the arrival of the King of Kings!
I believe that God will use this time and our experiences for His Glory. If we allow it, we will be drawn into a closer, deeper relationship with Christ. I pray that during this time you are able to have real, honest conversations with God as you read His Word.
With each new adaptation we are asked to live in, I look forward to the day when we are all together, celebrating how amazing of a God we have! We will continue with our Daily Devotions, Monday through Thursday and Saturday at 10. Our Worshiping Together On-Line will continue and be utilized as we go through Holy Week. We are adding YouTube to our On-Line streaming abilities this week. Please be sure to check out our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiLcR-lFFxdptcv8b2t00rA
