Ryan Krauss grew up in Bedford, Pennsylvania with a twin sister and a younger brother. He graduated from Bedford High School, received a Bachelor’s of Psychology and Literature at Albright College and a Master’s of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary. Previously, he served for three years as a Chaplain in PA’s state parks. In June of 2014, he received ordination through the Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church and is now an elder in full-connection to the conference. Ryan moved to Watsontown in the summer of 2012. His conviction as a pastor comes from John 21:17 where Jesus asks Peter to “feed my sheep.” Those who love Christ seek to “feed” others–emotionally, physically, spiritually–in their journey toward Jesus.
In his spare time, Pastor Ryan enjoys sleeping in, playing disc golf, learning to cook, playing guitar, collecting Legos, reading a good book, or practicing martial arts. Speaking of martial arts, he is also a 4th degree black belt with instructor’s certification in Tang Soo Do through the International Tang Soo Do Federation. In other free time, he cherishes spending time with his beautiful wife Linsey Krauss; they were married on October 18, 2014, and Ryan would like to express sincere appreciation to the Happy Harbor Preschool. Without the presence of HHP at the Watsontown Church, Ryan and Linsey may never have met!
